Jaina & Madalyn’s Graduation Photoshoot at Muskingum University


There’s something special about best friends who walk through every chapter of life together — and Jaina and Madalyn are the perfect example.


These two transferred to Muskingum University at the same time, instantly clicking and building a friendship that carried them through late-night study sessions, sorority events, and plenty of laughter. Even while being involved in different Greek organizations, their bond never wavered — and now, they’re graduating side by side, just as they began.


Their photoshoot took place on a gorgeous spring day after a week full of rainy weather and reschedules. The campus was full of grads and photographers scrambling to soak in the sunshine, but we carved out time and space to capture these moments that will last forever.


We explored some of Muskingum’s most recognizable buildings, including Montgomery Hall, where every student’s journey begins. But we also slipped into a few hidden corners, like the fire escape of John Glenn Gym, for shots that felt a little more personal and unexpected.


Of course, the best part of photographing these two was how natural they made it. Between inside jokes, playful teasing, and big belly laughs, there wasn’t a single moment that felt stiff or overly posed. One of my favorite moments? When we were photographing them walking up the stairs, Jaina started leading — until they both realized that Madalyn’s last name comes first alphabetically. They immediately switched places so Madalyn could "cross the stage first." It was such a small moment, but a perfect snapshot of their friendship.


They each wore stoles representing their own sororities — a nod to the different paths they took, all while staying side by side.
